The latest edition of our 2025 Corsair 970 performs
in the most challenging conditions!
The sporty, foldable, trailerable Corsair 970 trimaran will routinely knock off double-digit boat speeds. Planing upwind with a reef? What else do you notice?
SPEED AND DISTANCE
All Corsair trimarans are built to withstand the most demanding conditions and the Corsair 970 is capable in two vital directions: speed and carrying capacity. Wherever you're planning to sail, you’ll get there in half the time of the monohull you might consider for your next trip.
COMFORTABLE ON THE WATER
The 970 has a remarkably low heel, feels light, and is easy to manage on the helm. So, while you keep a boat that retains serious offshore credentials, you achieve performance figures to turn the dial red.
The Corsair 970 combines the award-winning performance of the C31 with the spacious comfort of the C37—a feat that few boats can achieve so seamlessly. It’s a trimaran that’s as comfortable as it is fast, offering plenty of inside space for cruising without sacrificing an ounce of sailing performance.
Whether an avid racer or a cruiser, the 970 offers the best of both worlds. The combination of lightweight materials and design innovation means this boat is quick and efficient on the water. At the same time, the added interior space ensures your time spent onboard is comfortable and enjoyable.
The high-volume floats have been designed with additional buoyancy for sailing performance, giving the Corsair Cruze 970 greater stability and comfort for all her passengers.
Corsair’s reliable folding system simplifies road trailering. The retractable daggerboard and rudder allow for floating in shallow water or beaching during outings. The Corsair 970 includes a roller furling jib, mainsail, two-burner propane stove, 39-gallon freshwater tank, washbasin with shower, floor drain with sump pump, and a marine head with a 13-gallon holding tank. Additional options like refrigeration and autopilot are available upon ordering.

Longer amas and bows with more plumb and hull forms with less rocker add 20 percent more buoyancy to this boat while retaining similar beam dimensions. The result is a more stable platform. The keel and rudder for the original 31 had been optimized for boat speeds between 3 and 10 knots. Incorporating the lessons from those 300 boats, today’s 970 features much thinner, higher-aspect-ratio foils optimized for teens and higher speeds.
