BAMA membership renewals and 2023 ratings certificate requests have already been live since late November. To renew, please go to our main website at https://sfbama.org/ and click on the blue “2023 Membership” and “2023 Rating” buttons near the top of the main page. Note that you can race in the SSS Three Bridge Fiasco with last year’s ratings certificate, but get your ratings request in now so that you’ll have that ready in time for the next race.

BAMA Training Event
One will be a Race Start Training Event. That event will take everyone through the basics of race start sequences, what to look out for, tactics, what the rules are at the start line, etc., and then we’ll do an on-the-water practical training that will go through a whole series of race starts repeatedly, to practice the race start sequence and get your boat as close to the start line as possible at the “gun”. Participants will be scored purely on the race starts (there will be no actual course to sail following each start – we will just go into another start sequence). New to racing, or feeling unsure about boat handling in a crowded pre-start area? This is the event for you.

Black Dog Dash 2023

NEMA's annual race race from Vineyard Haven to Edgartown and back to the beach outside the Black Dog Tavern. The BDD brings many of us to Martha's Vineyard every year. The BDD will be July 22, 2023. Now we'll sail up through Woods Hole into Buzzards Bay after the BDD and get prepped for three days of racing on the last weekend of July.
Corsair Nationals - Buzzards Bay Multihull Regatta 2023
July 28, 29, 30 New England Multihull Association (NEMA) is organizing this event which will include Corsair and Farrier tris and NEMA Racing and Cruising multihull classes. We are calling it the "BBMR"- Buzzards Bay Multihull Regatta. The Beverly Yacht Club in Marion, Massachusetts, will be hosting this event.
