Why Sailors Love It: With two sailing schools, this urban lake is an educational hub for the Front Range sailing community.
The Denver Sailing Association has an extensive racing program from April through October, which includes four complete series and annual regattas, bringing some of the best talent in the state. The four series are Thawout, Spring, Summer, and Frostbite. The Thawout and Frostbite Series race is on weekend afternoons, while the Spring and Summer Series are on weekday evenings.
DSA has active one-design fleets including Santana 20s, J22s, Lasers, Melges 15s as well as PHRF

Union Sailing Club
Located in Longmont, Colorado
One of Colorado’s largest and most active sailing clubs with weekly racing in the spring, summer and fall.
Union Sailing Club hosts racing, training, and family events for dinghy and multihull sailors all season long. Wednesday night and Sunday afternoon racing series begin in April and end in October. We host several open regattas, including the Union Reunion in June and the OctoberFest in October. The club supports on-the-water fun and education for non-sailors, beginners, and old salts alike with events like Demo Day, Sunday BBQs, and private or group lessons through our sailing instructors.
The Melges 15 is an exciting new double-handed boat with an asymmetric spinnaker. The M15 is easy to sail and a blast to competitively race. Named Boat of the year in 2022, M15 fleets are growing fast everywhere, including at USC. In just under 2 years since being introduced, over 400 boats have been sold.

We are Telluride's Future Sailors
The Telluride Yacht Club is a member-only, non-profit, 501(c)(7) corporation located in Telluride, Colorado. The mission of Telluride Yacht Club is to encourage and foster interest in all aspects of sailing, boating, paddle boarding and fishing. Our recreational venues span the San Miguel, Delores, Ouray, Montrose and Gunnison counties. Our primary water sports venues are the Ridgeway Reservoir, Lake McPhee, Trout Lake, Elk Lake, Delores River, San Miguel River, Uncompaghre River and Gunnison River.

The Dillon Yacht Club is a group of sailing and power boating enthusiasts who have joined together to promote the sport and safety of boating, sailing, cruising, power boating and sailboat racing, along with fellowship among boaters on beautiful Lake Dillon. Carter Lake Sailing Club members sail and play on Carter Lake which is approx. 2.5 miles long and approx. 1 mile wide. The lake is nestled in the picturesque foothills, about an hour’s drive from Denver and about 30 minutes from Boulder and Fort Collins, Colorado.
LPSC calls Lake Pueblo State Park its home with 5399 surface acres of water to set sail. The club is welcome to current and future sailors of all abilities. With competitive sailing, group sails and social events Lake Pueblo Sailing Club strives to provide a quality experience at this great Colorado State Park.

Perhaps the best asset of the club is there is no electricity, running water, or cell service, so members can truly enjoy spending quality time sailing during the summer months in the Colorado Rocky Mountains!
