The only Corsair 880 shared-ownership club is launching in Long Beach, California, starting September 2025.

On a short Zoom call, we’ll explore the obvious questions to see if this program is an excellent fit for you this year. 

Here are a few ideas to get our conversation started…

1. Financial Considerations

• How much is the initial deposit to join a group of like-minded owners? $10,000 refundable reservation deposit

• What is the anticipated acquisition cost for each owner? $58,750 one-time investment for fractional ownership

• How much are the anticipated monthly costs for each owner? $850 per month covering all ownership expenses

• Are there any monthly management fees? No

• How will you accommodate rate changes due to future cost changes, such as insurance? Annual review approved by members

• Do the costs include initial California sales tax and annual use tax on a group's vessel? Yes, taxes will be managed by member approval

2. Usage and Logistics

• How many days am I entitled to sail each month? One week for each member-share

• How do I reserve (or cancel) reservation days when I wish to sail? Online owner management portal

• Will I enjoy reciprocal rights to trimarans in other locations? Yes

• Who provides the weekly and periodic management? 180 Marine

• Who manages periodic inspections for each owner group? 180 Marine

3. Ownership Details

• What are the model years of the boats planned for each group? 2025 Corsair 880 and Corsair 970

• Is this program possible with just 3 or 4 owners per Corsair, or must it be a larger group? It’s limited to this size

• Will boats be chartered to sailors outside of the listed-owner members? No

• How do you determine if I’m qualified to operate a group trimaran? Training is included for all members at no extra cost.

4. Managing the Future and Satisfaction Guarantees

• How do I leave my ownership group in the future? This will be documented and approved by each owner group

• Is it possible to transfer to a new group, with a new location? Yes, as documented and approved by each owner group

• What are the satisfaction guarantees? 180 Marine will provide a buy-out provision that protects all the members of a group
